After a detailed evaluation of the current situation, possible improvements with regard to technology, processes and costs are analysed. Requirements are documented in a comprehensive requirements specification. Together with other data, this forms the basis for a tender, which is sent out to a large number of possible suppliers and partners.

During the tender process, possible suppliers and partners are evaluated together with the customer. Both performance related and commercial aspects are evaluated using structured methods such as weighted evaluation matrices and risk assessment, in order to ensure a neutral and comparable evaluation.

Once the best offer has been selected and a contract successfully negotiated the emphasis is on the project and implementation planning phase. In order to ensure a successful implementation, interactions between the supplier’s project management and the internal resources of the customer must be well coordinated. On request, IMPC supports projects in the implementation phase in order to meet time schedules and to ensure a successful implementation.
